Contains peer-reviewed articles on every aspect of public international law. The January 2013 update is the first since the publication of the print edition of the Encyclopedia. It adds 21 new articles and 7 updates, bringing the total number of live articles to 1,639. Several of the new articles look at historical matters including the Concert of Europe, the Status of Germany after World War II, and the Treaty of Tordesillas which divided the New World into Spanish and Portuguese spheres of influence in 1494.
