Release A Print Job

Release Print Job

How to release a print job

Before you print your document, be sure it is formatted for plain, letter size (8.5 x 11) paper. Our lab printers do not have other sizes or types of paper available, and your print job will not print if you choose an unsupported paper size or type. Choosing the wrong paper size or type may also prevent other print jobs from printing.

When you are ready to print, choose the printer you would like to print the document. You have the choice of two printers in Rm. 1032 (student lounge) or the printer on the 2nd floor, in Rm. 2000A (next to the media studio).

Once you have printed the documents, you will have to “release” the print job in order to complete the printing transaction.

To release your print job click on the desktop icon named “PaperCut User Login” or visit http://130.74.112.98:9191/user or click on the “Release Print Jobs” link on the main Law Library website at http://library.law.olemiss.edu.

Log in with the same username and password you would use with the computers in Rm. 1032.

After you successfully log in to PaperCut, you will see your account balance and other information.

Click on the “Jobs Pending Release” link in the left hand navigation window.

Find your print job. If your print job is not listed, click on the “Refresh Now” button near the top of the page. Other users’ print jobs may also be listed, so be sure you select the correct job.

Once you have found your print job, click on “Print” to print the job and have the charge deducted from your account. If you choose “cancel” the print job will be deleted from the queue.

Print jobs that are not released within 60 minutes will be automatically cancelled. You will not be charged for cancelled print jobs.

To ensure the security of our account, you MUST log out after you release all of your print jobs. If your account is left logged in, another user could drain your account of funds. Refunds will not be issued if this happens.

If you need to add money to your print account, please visit the Service Desk. You can add money to your account Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

If you have any questions, please ask a Librarian or anyone at the Service Desk.
